Update: 1 killed in May 16 Kumu bombing. Antonov dropped 4 bombs each in Kauda and Buram afterward.

Update: Nuba Reports has learned that one person was, in fact, killed in the May 16 bombing in Kumu. After bombing Kumu and Kauda the plane continued south and dropped 4 bombs in Buram town at around 3:20pm, killing two cows.

On May 16, 2013 at 1:45pm A Sudan Air Force Antonov dropped 4 bombs in Kumu and 4 bombs in Kauda South Kordofan's Heiban County. The bombs that fell in Kauda hit the Father Cliff Primary School for Orphans. Two people were wounded in the bombing. There are no reported casualties from the bombing in Kumu

On May 8, 2013, An antonov dropped three bombs on Kauda at around 9 a.m. There were no injuries or deaths. One of the bombs killed 11 cattle and 2 goats belonging to a single family. Cattle are a source of wealth for many communities in the Nuba mountains and often used to purchase food after poor harvests.

May 5 SAF repel SPLA-N attack on SAF in Um Barmbeita Rashad Co. S. Kordofan. 5 SPLA injured

On May 5 at around 6:30 the Sudanese Armed Forces repelled an attack by SPLA-N forces on a SAF garrison at Umm Barmbeita in Rashad County, South Kordofan. The attack lasted about 2 1/2 hours after which the 1200 strong SPLA-N force retreated to Sarafai. Sudanese Antonovs bombed the area from the beginning of the attack until about 4pm. At least 5 SPLA-N soldiers were injured in the clash, 3 of which were sent to the Mother of Mercy Hospital in Gidele with more serious injuries.

May 3 - 10 bombs in Buram C. - 6 in Toroji 4 in Dar. No reported injured/dead

On May 3, from 11:14 until 12:44 pm an antonov circled over Buram County, dropping 10 bombs. 6 bombs fell in Toroji, burning down two civilian houses. The airplane continued to Dar, dropping 4 bombs. There are no reported injuries or deaths in either bombing.

May 2 - 4 bombs dropped in Buram county by SAF Antonovs. No dead/injured.

On May 2, at 8:00 am a Sudan Armed Forces Antonov dropped two bombs on the village of Kordofan and two bombs just outside of Dar. Both villages are in Buram county. There are no reported injuries or deaths in either incident.

On May 1 at 11:35 am an Antonov dropped four bombs in Buram during the weekly market day, injuring one woman and killing one man - the second antonov death in Buram county in the past 10 days. The airplane continued south, dropping six bombs in Tess. There are no reported injuries or deaths.

On April 27/28 SPLA-N forces shelled Kadugli Airport. The airport often used to launch attacks in the nuba mts.

On April 27, 2013 a joint force of from the Sudan Revolutionary Front made up of SPLA-N, SLM and JEM attacked SAF and government forces in the Town of Umm Ruwaba in North Kordofan. The joint force occupied the town for the day and moved to defensive positions south of the town. Umm Ruwaba is approximately 100 km from North Kordofan state capital, El Obeid

On April 21, 2013 at 11:00pm 33 SAF soldiers attacked a civilain cattle camp just outside of Tess village killing 3 including a 10 year old boy and wounding 8. The soldiers stole all 150 cows as they left the region.

On April 22, 2013 at 9:30am a Sudan Airforce plane dropped 4 bombs on the town of Buram burning down one house. The plane continued south and dropped 4 bombs on Tess, killing killing one man.

On April 21 an Antonov dropped 4 bombs in Tabanya, wounding a 6-year-old. 4 bombs more in Buram and 1 in Toroji

On April 21, 2013 at 10:20am Nuba Reports Journalist, Ahmed Khatir witnessed a Sudan air force Antonov dropping a single bomb in Toroji. The plane continued to Buram town where it dropped 2 bombs and then dropped 4 bombs in Tabanya, wounding a 6 year old child.

On April 19 an Antonov dropped 2 bombs in Kauda, 1 in Buram and 2 in Tamadirgo. Sukhoi Jets dropped 4 in Buram

On April 19, 2013 at 9:00am a Nuba Reports Journalist witnessed an Antonov dropping 2 bombs on the village of Kauda in Heiban County of South Kordofan. The plane continued south and at 9:40 dropped 1 bomb in the town of Buram and 2 bombs in the village of Tamadirgo. Later the same day at 11:00am 2 Sukhoi jets dropped 4 bombs near the Buram County offices.

On April 18, 2013 at 10:20am 2 Sudan Sukhoi Jets dropped 2 cluster bombs on the village of Lado. Some of the internal explosives in the cluster bombs did not explode and are scattered in the village. Forty minutes later at 11:00am Nuba Reports journalists witnessed a Antonov circling in Heiban County and heard the explosion of 2 bombs in the village of Debi. The Antonov continued to Um Dorain County of South Kordofan and dropped 4 bombs on the village of Saraf Jamous near the village water pump wounding 2 civilians and killing 2 others.

SPLA capture SAF garrison town Dandur nearby Kadugli after 45 minute battle April 15. 2 civiians wounded in battle.

On April 15, 2013 in the morning hours SPLA-N forces attacked the Sudan government garrison at Dandur. After a 45 minute fight SPLA-N captured the garrison and currently hold it. Two civilians were injured in the fight and transferred to Gidele Hospital along with 18 SPLA-N soldiers. SPLA-N officials say 17 SAF troops were killed along with one SPLA-N Solider.

On April 16 two Sudanese Sukhoi Jets dropped 4 bombs on Lado. No reported injuries or deaths in the attack

On April 12, 2013 at approximately 2:00pm SPLA-N forces fired artillery into the town of Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan State. The shelling took place the same day President Omar Bashir visited South Sudan. Nuba Reports is unable to confirm whether any civilian casualties resulted from the attack.
