On January 15, 2013 at 6:00pm a Sudanese Government Antonov airplane dropped 3 bombs in the village of Tabanya. No one was injured or killed in the bombing.

Jalila Khamis Koko Released From Prison

On January 20, 2013 Jalila Khamis Koko was released from prison after her arrest in March 2012 by Sudan's National Security. Jalila was arrested after openly speaking about her views on the Sudan government in an recorded interview and was facing the death penalty as she awaited trail. Many Sudanese and international human rights organizations called for the release of Jalila stating that her arrest was unlawful.

SPLA-N and SAF Clash South of Kadugli, Both Sides Claim Heavy Casualties

On the early morning of January 11, 2013 SPLA-N forces conducted an offensive against Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) located in Al Hamra and Lahamar, just 15km south of the state capital, Kadugli. Both SPLA-N and SAF claim heavy causalities on their opponent's side. Nuba Reports journalist, Ahmed Khatir was able to get close to the front lines and report that SPLA-N entered the town of Lahamar at mid-day and left the town later that day leaving neither side occupying the town. The region remains tense as the past 2 months have seen heavy fighting around Kadugli.

On December 23, 2012 at 5:00pm a Sudan government Antonov dropped 2 bombs in the village of Kumu and 10 bombs in the village of Mendi. There are no reported injuries and deaths.

12 Bombs in Kauda, Kalkutta and Eiri Villages

On December 24, 2012, a Sudan government airplane dropped 5 bombs in Kauda valley and 7 bombs in the neighboring villages of Eiri and Kalkutta.

SPLA-N Claim Responsibility for Downed MiG Jet

On December 19, SPLA-N claims to have shot down a MiG fighter jet that was bombing Um Dorain County. The plane later crashed at the El Obied Airstrip in North Kordofan. SPLA-N claim they shot down the plane making it unable to land, while the Sudan Government claims the plane simply crashed due to technical failure.

Antonov is Hit By Fire, Crashes in SPLA-N Borders

According to the SPLM-N, a Sudan government airplane bombing the town of Um Serdeba on the 11th of December was hit by anti-aircraft fire and later crashed in the village of Um Kresha within the SPLA-N controlled regions of South Kordofan.

Sudan Air Force Drops 4 Bombs in Daloka

On December 3, 2012 at 11:00am the Sudan Air Force used an Antonov airplane to drop 4 bombs in the village of Daloka. There are no reported injuries or deaths but the bombs did create spreading fires.

4 Bombs Around Abu Lalla Damage Acres of Crops

On November 27, 2012 at 5:50pm a Sudan government Antonov dropped 4 bombs around the village of Abu Lalla, burning of several acres of crops.
